IN THE FRAME

Here is my card for the latest Daring Cardmakers Challenge (a card with frames). The wateroloured images are from a Penny Black stamp. I used my Cuttlebug to cut the silver mirror card frames, first time I have used that particular die and am pleased with the result. I finished it off with a silver peeloff border along the scalloped egde of the light green backing paper and attached green glitter borders either side.

Parchment Butterfly

Today I felt like a change from stamping so I thought I would have another go at parchment and here is the result. The hardest part was finding the right colour of card to mount the parchment on!!!!!

AUTUMNAL CARD

The weather seems to have changed overnight and it is feeling decidely autumnal today so I thought I would make a suitably themed card using the free stamp from October's Craft Stamper magazine. It has been clear embossed on glossy card and inked over with various shades of chalk ink. The bird is a Crafty Secrets clear stamp.

NEW PINK PETTICOAT IMAGE STAMPS

I had to have the new Pink Petticoat image stamps (Lola Rose for occasions) as I think they are very useful as well as pretty and I really enjoyed making my first two cards today using the rainy day image.

In A Word

I have only made one card today, due to spending hours tidying out my craft cabinets, managed to throw quite a lot of stuff away which I will never use. My card is for this week's Daring Cardmakers' challenge...to make a card with one word as the focal point (WISH). I used a Stampa Rosa image of a little Victorian girl stamped onto various papers for her dress. The chipboard letters are by Anna Griffin.

Christmas Card Time

I don't particularly like thinking about Christmas halfway through September but as it is fast approaching I thought it was time I made some Christmas cards. I used my new Hot Off The Press papers on all these cards and I tried very hard to use a variety of stamps but kept coming back to my favourite snowmen!

DCM LITTLE EXTRA CHALLENGE - BIG & LITTLE

As I am not working this week I actually have time during the day to make cards, which does make a pleasant change I have to say! I thought I would join in the Daring Cardmakers little extra challenge to make a card using big and little items in pairs. The butterflies are stamped in brown onto pink card and decorated with sakura glaze and stardust pens but unfortunately this doesn't show up on the scan, nor does the lovely DCWV backing paper from their glitter stack but here it is anyway:

DCM CHALLENGE - CHRISTMAS

I nearly backed out of this challenge then thought no!!! don't be chicken, just have to think about it a bit. Here is my card incorporating paper tearing, purple and holes on a Christmas card. I enjoyed the challenge, even though tearing into the new 12 x 12 gold and white holly paper sheet wasn't easy!!! The card doesn't have a black or silver edge by the way, just that the only place I could photograph it was resting against the PC monitor.

Just because....

Tonight I have made this card for no particular reason other than that I love this image of Audrey Hepburn from Joanna Sheen's Hollywood Vintage CD.

Oops!

Just had to make a card in a hurry after discovering I missed a family birthday last week! Hopefully Pink Petticoat's Lilli with flowers will save my skin!

HANDBAG CARD

I have been busy this evening, made a couple of birthday cards. This one is for a work colleague. It is one of Pink Petticoat's Little Fleurs handbag cards which are fun to make. I am still pretty hopeless at box making though and may have to redo that as it's not very neat on the corners!

DCM 3 DIE CUTS CHALLENGE

It's a few days now since I made a card so today I decided to have a go at this week's DCM challenge, which was to make a card using 3 die cuts, so out came the Cuttlebug to make these flowers. I was at a craft show yesterday and kept looking at Spellbinders Wizard dies but in the end I didn't risk buying any in case they don't work in the Cuttlebug!
